4:30AM *PRODUCTIVE* morning routine (weekend) | Summer 2024
Hey y’all!! This is my IDEAL morning routine! I wish I could maintain this routine on school days, but I just don’t have the time! But this is my Saturday morning routine for Summer (almost fall) 2024!

Waking up early is a true gift for me. It offers uninterrupted time, allowing me to move quietly and set the tone for a productive day. My first task, making the bed, may seem small, but it establishes order and discipline from the very beginning. A made bed is a small victory—the first task of the day already completed. However, this video showcases my ideal morning routine, not the one I stick to every day. On days when I don’t have class at 7:00 a.m., I indulge in a longer routine, but I always try to maintain the core habits, which I’ll be sharing in this video.

The first thing I do upon entering the bathroom is brush my teeth—an essential morning ritual. It’s more than just cleansing; it prepares me for whatever challenges the day might bring. Taking care of my skin is also vital, not only as a beauty routine but as an act of self-care. By nurturing my skin, I remind myself that how I start the day matters. My skincare regimen includes serums, moisturizers, and SPF. Because of my sensitive skin, I opt for disposable cloths instead of regular towels to avoid breakouts. I use Neutrogena Hydrating SPF and Vanicream, which my dermatologist recommended for locking in moisture. I also apply an under-eye cream with hyaluronic acid—my family is known for baggy eyes!
Before diving into the day’s hustle, I carve out time for mindfulness. Meditation helps clear my mind and refocus on what’s truly important, grounding me before the chaos of daily life. Following this, I take a few moments to journal, which allows me to set my intentions and goals for the day. Gratitude journaling helps me reflect on what I’m thankful for, setting a positive tone. I also avoid my phone and social media for the first hour of the day, as I find that scrolling first thing negatively impacts my mood and productivity.

After setting my mind in the right place, I get dressed for the day. Putting on clothes, even if it’s something comfortable, signals to my brain that it’s time to get productive. If I’m heading to the gym, I make sure to wear a cute workout outfit to feel confident while exercising. Presentation plays a role in how I approach my day. My dog, Ivy, is always excited for her morning walk. As soon as she sees me grab my shoes, she knows it’s time for our routine. There’s something peaceful about walking her before sunrise—the stillness of the air helps me center myself.
Unfortunately, I can’t always fit a morning walk with Ivy into my schedule. On days when I have early classes, I combine meditation with a quick outdoor session in the backyard. Luckily, my parents help let her out when I can’t. After our walk, I take care of Ivy’s breakfast before making something simple for myself, usually probiotic granola or a protein pancake paired with homemade cold brew. Adding collagen peptides to my coffee has helped improve my skin, hair, and nails. I also take Omega-3 supplements, which support heart health and memory and even help reduce symptoms of depression.

Makeup is an important part of my morning routine on days when I have the time. It’s not about vanity, but about prioritizing myself. Doing my makeup boosts my confidence, even if it’s just a simple, natural look. On days when I don’t have the time, I skip makeup, but I always make sure to complete my skincare routine. Each step is a reminder that I’m worthy of care, and it helps me feel prepared for the day ahead.
As I drive to the gym, the sky begins to lighten, signaling the start of a new day. The gym is where I build both physical and mental strength. I like to listen to podcasts about mental health and well-being while I work out. Even 20-30 minutes of exercise each day can reduce stress by lowering cortisol levels after a workout. Post-gym, I make a protein shake to replenish my body, and I’ve found a little hack for getting rid of those pesky clumps—milk powder before liquid milk!

A post-workout shower is a moment to wash away any lingering tension or stress. Moisturizing after my shower is a small but meaningful habit that leaves me feeling refreshed and ready for the rest of the day. Dressing for the day is about more than just looking good; it’s about feeling good. Choosing an outfit that’s both comfortable and makes me feel confident ensures that I approach the day with positivity.
Finally, I love starting my study sessions in a cozy café. The soft buzz around me helps me stay focused and productive. These habits in my morning routine form the foundation of a productive, intentional day. Every action is a step toward my goals and a reminder to show up as my best self. Let me know what you think about this routine and share your own morning habits in the comments below. I’d love to hear your feedback on the video and what kind of content you’d like to see in the future. Thanks for watching, and I hope you found this routine helpful!

I believe a well-structured morning routine can truly set the tone for the day ahead. Whether it’s as simple as making the bed, practicing mindfulness, or getting in a quick workout, these habits aren’t just tasks to check off a list—they’re ways of investing in myself and my well-being. Even the small things, like preparing breakfast or taking care of my skin, help me feel grounded, organized, and ready to take on the day with purpose.
What I love most about this routine is the balance it creates between self-care and productivity. When I take time in the morning to focus on my mental and physical health—whether through meditation, journaling, or exercising—I notice a significant improvement in my mood, energy levels, and overall outlook on the day. Staying off my phone and social media first thing helps me avoid distractions and keeps my mindset positive, making it easier to focus on my goals.
Of course, some mornings are busier than others, especially when I have to get to class early. On those days, I streamline my routine, skipping certain steps like makeup or a full walk with Ivy. But even when I’m pressed for time, I make sure to keep the essentials: brushing my teeth, doing a quick meditation, and taking a few minutes to mentally prepare myself for the day ahead. This ensures that, no matter how busy I am, I start my day with intention and care.

On the days when I have more time, I take full advantage of it. After my morning routine, I love heading to the gym for a workout, which helps me feel strong and centered. Exercise not only benefits my body but also clears my mind, helping me approach the rest of my day with focus and determination. A good protein shake after my workout is the perfect way to refuel and stay energized.
Once I’m back home and showered, I dive into whatever tasks or studies I have planned for the day, often heading to a local café for a change of scenery. I find that being in a different environment, surrounded by others who are also working or studying, helps me stay on track and motivated. Plus, there’s something about the atmosphere of a café that makes it easier for me to concentrate on my work.
Ultimately, my morning routine is a key part of how I structure my day and my life. It’s not just about productivity, though that’s an important factor—it’s about setting a tone of calm, self-care, and mindfulness that carries me through whatever challenges or tasks the day may bring. I encourage everyone to find their own version of a morning routine that works for them, something that helps them feel centered and ready for the day. Whether it’s a few moments of quiet reflection, a walk outside, or a quick workout, creating these habits can make a big difference in how we approach our lives.

So, that’s my ideal morning routine! I hope it inspires you to think about your own habits and how you can start your day with more intention. Let me know in the comments what your morning routine looks like and whether you’re thinking of adding any new habits after watching this video.
