Inside My Dreamy Cozy Apartment | Solo Living in My 20s—The Ultimate Tour!

How I created a warm, inviting, and totally Instagram-worthy sanctuary while living alone—decor tips, cozy vibes, and self-care inspo!

My Apartment Tour: A Cozy Space I Call Home

Hello and welcome! If you’re new here, a big welcome to you, and if you’re a returning reader, welcome back! Today, I’m excited to take you on a virtual tour of my apartment—a place I’m incredibly proud of because I put it all together myself, from moving in the furniture to adding the final decorative touches.

A Labor of Love

Moving into this apartment was no small feat. Hauling all the furniture in by myself was a challenge, but seeing it all come together made it so rewarding. I’ve been living here for a few months now, and the space feels complete. I’ve focused on adding decorations and personal touches to give it character, and I’m thrilled with how it’s turned out.

Let’s Take a Look Around

The Living Space

First up, I have a whiteboard where I jot down tasks when I’m feeling overwhelmed. It’s a lifesaver for staying organized. Oh, and a quick announcement: use code CodeCounty10 at Gymshark.com for 20% off (valid from July 3rd onward, likely still active as of this post).

The walls are adorned with decorations from an Amazon kit. I picked out the pieces that best matched the vibe of the place, and they’re all held up with Command Strips—fingers crossed they stay put! There’s also a large mirror from Home Depot, perfect for selfies or outfit checks, paired with a sleek LED curving light, also from Home Depot.

My Shoe and Entertainment Setup

I keep my favorite shoes on display—the cool ones I wear daily. There’s a TV in the corner that I rarely use, mostly just for Netflix with my brother when he visits. I’m considering swapping it out for my record player or gifting it to him. Nearby, there’s a pet cam to keep an eye on my dog, Zala, when I’m out, and a soundbar that’s great for music.

Bookshelf and Collectibles

My bookshelf is a treasure trove. It holds books I’ve read or plan to read, a comics section, and my YouTube plaque. I’ve got some adorable plushies, including Joel and Ellie Funko Pops from The Last of Us and a custom Zala keychain—a sweet gift from a fan that I keep safe on the shelf. There’s also a Polaroid camera that’s sadly collecting dust.

Plant Corner

My plants add life to the space, though they’re not without their challenges. My monstera is battling thrips, which are tough to get rid of, but I’m treating them. For now, I’m holding off on adding more plants until I’ve got the pest situation under control.

The Cozy Couch and Coffee Table

The couch, from a local Hawaiian furniture company called Value, is super comfy and the perfect size. On my coffee table, I display The Last of Us art books from both games—gifts from amazing fans. The table itself is handmade from mango wood, adding a unique touch.

The Cool Stuff Corner

This is probably my favorite part of the apartment. I’ve got a twin-lens reflex film camera, which is super cool but expensive to use due to film and developing costs. I’m also a huge Fujifilm fanboy—my Fujifilm camera is my all-time favorite. There’s a Sony Walkman cassette player, a high-quality Audio-Technica vinyl player, and a small but growing collection of records, with my top six displayed on the wall. I’ve got some Minecraft cassettes and other camera gear, including an OG vlogging camera I still use for travel or hikes.

Gym and Desk Area

My gym corner is minimal but functional: a foam roller for my back, a rarely used yoga mat, and a gym bag. Over at my desk, where I game and make videos, I keep a Minecraft pickaxe on the wall (secured with Command Strips) and some slime for stress relief—it smells amazing! There’s also a painting from my old Gymshark athlete manager, Jason, which I haven’t mounted yet because it’s heavy and the walls are concrete.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is where I film most of my videos, propping the camera on the counter. It’s home to my coffee, smoothie, and ice cream bar—everything I need, including matcha! There’s no dishwasher, so I do dishes the old-fashioned way. One of my favorite features is a cool drawer for coffee pods and tea and an island extension from Costco that holds all my supplements, with daily ones easily accessible. Use code Kani at Transparent Labs for 10% off!

The Fridge and Bathroom

My fridge is a work in progress decoration-wise, with a magnet from the Na Pali Coast and one featuring Zala with her dog-sitter friends, Kimchi and Tomago. I’ve got a small collection of cap magnets too. The bathroom is tiny—barely enough room for two people—but it gets the job done.

Zala’s Spotlight

Of course, no tour is complete without Zala, my 10-month-old pup. She’s in her rebellious teenager phase but still a sweetheart. I use a Gymshark fanny pack as a treat pouch for training, along with a clicker (not the Last of Us kind!). Zala can do tricks like paw, lay down, sit, and spin, and we’re working on “touch” to help with her anxiety outside.

Wrapping Up

That’s my apartment—where I live, work, and hang out with Zala. Thanks for joining me on this tour! If you enjoyed it, please like, comment, share, and subscribe. A big shoutout to my brother, Dominic, for helping with the filming. Until next time, bye!
