The Perfect iPad Nobody Wants
The iPad Mini is finally here, and I think many of us are wondering: is this it? I do have one on the way, so feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. I’ll be posting a video when it arrives, but after waiting so long, I can’t help but wonder—is this all we get? Honestly, I’m a bit worried that the iPad Mini might go the way of the iPhone Mini and get canceled.

The iPad Mini, in my opinion, is one of Apple’s most important products. It’s the only iPad that truly makes sense as an iPad. But this year, Apple seems to be in a weird spot with their products. On one hand, they’re delivering what customers want for their MacBooks, bringing back features like SD card slots, MagSafe charging, and removing the Touch Bar. On the other hand, they seem to be neglecting products like the AirPods Max, which took four years to update with just USB-C and new colors, or the Magic Mouse, which isn’t a well-designed product. Even the Apple Watch has been rumored to have a redesign for years, but nothing has materialized.

Now, we have the iPad Mini. So, let’s talk about what they’ve actually given us. It has the new A7 Pro chip, which is a big upgrade from the last generation’s A5 chip. There’s support for the Apple Pencil Pro, base storage has been bumped up to 128GB, and it supports Apple Intelligence. They’ve also upgraded the Wi-Fi to version 6E, doubled the RAM, and added faster USB-C ports. It sounds like a lot, but it really feels like another AirPods Max update—just the bare minimum.
In my eyes, Apple could go one of three ways with the iPad Mini. They might keep giving us these small, incremental updates to keep it current, they could revamp the product entirely, or they could cancel it. According to some internet sources, iPad Mini sales make up only 7% of total iPad sales. That’s similar to the iPhone 13 Mini, which also had a cult following but didn’t sell well. Apple can’t rely on enthusiasm alone to keep a product alive, and that’s why the iPhone Mini was canceled. The same thing could happen with the iPad Mini if sales don’t improve.

The only thing keeping the iPad Mini afloat right now seems to be this minor spec bump, but it feels like Apple is putting in minimal effort while possibly scrambling to get unreleased Apple Intelligence features ready. The iPad Mini 7 is supposed to support Apple Intelligence, but that feature isn’t even available yet. I’m curious if anyone outside the tech space is actually buying the iPad Mini. I hope Apple doesn’t see low sales and decide to cancel it. Instead, they should focus on the hype building for a proper refresh and give us the iPad Mini we all dream of.
What would make the next generation of the iPad Mini an instant buy for you? Let me know in the comments! Personally, I’d love to see a brighter OLED screen with 120Hz ProMotion, smaller bezels, Face ID, and maybe waterproofing. And it can’t cost as much as a MacBook! Also, I’m fine with them removing the cameras, except for the front-facing one.

As for accessories, if you’re a regular Apple Pencil user, you might want to try the Paperlike screen protector. It gives your iPad the feel of drawing or writing on real paper. Plus, it’s more affordable than Apple’s nanotexture coating and comes with a 100-day satisfaction guarantee. You can grab one using the link below this video.
In conclusion, the iPad Mini is the perfect iPad for traveling, taking notes, and consuming content. It’s small, portable, and practical. Bigger iPads are great, but they’re cumbersome, and the iPad Mini just isn’t. However, if sales continue to lag, Apple might decide to cancel it altogether. What do you think? Would you buy the refreshed iPad Mini, or are you waiting for something better? Let me know in the comments!

The iPad Mini has always held a special place for many users because of its perfect balance between portability and functionality. Unlike its larger counterparts, it’s just the right size for travel, note-taking, reading, or simply watching videos. It’s not trying to replace a laptop, and that’s precisely why it works so well for so many people. It’s compact enough to carry anywhere but powerful enough to handle most tasks without the bulk of a larger iPad.
But if Apple continues to neglect the Mini and focus on larger, more expensive models, it could spell the end for this beloved device. We’ve seen it happen before with the iPhone Mini—despite its loyal fanbase, Apple pulled the plug due to lackluster sales. The same fate might await the iPad Mini unless Apple gives it the attention it deserves.

It’s clear that many people love the idea of the iPad Mini, but the sales figures suggest they’re not buying it in large numbers. Apple can’t sustain a product based on potential or niche demand alone. But here’s the thing—there’s still hope. If Apple listens to its users and delivers a proper iPad Mini refresh, it could breathe new life into the product.
What would that look like? For me, it’s all about refining what already works. A brighter, more advanced OLED screen with 120Hz ProMotion would be a game-changer. Shrinking the bezels without increasing the overall size would also keep it portable while maximizing screen space. Face ID would be a nice touch, especially for those who value convenience and security. And honestly, I could do without the rear cameras—just keep the front-facing one for video calls. The price is another factor—if it stays reasonably priced, it could appeal to a wider audience.

I also think waterproofing would be a fantastic feature, especially for those who want to take it on trips or use it in more rugged environments. Imagine being able to read a book by the pool or take notes on the go without worrying about water damage. These kinds of improvements would turn the iPad Mini into a must-have device for so many more people.
But what about you? What features would make the next iPad Mini an instant buy for you? Is there something Apple hasn’t thought of yet that would elevate the Mini into an unbeatable device? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

As much as I love the current iPad Mini, there’s always room for improvement, and I think we’re all eagerly waiting to see what Apple does next. The potential is there for the iPad Mini to become one of Apple’s best devices, but only if they invest in its future rather than just keeping it afloat with minor updates.
Until then, we’ll just have to see whether Apple steps up and gives the iPad Mini the revamp it deserves—or if it fades into obscurity like other canceled products before it. Either way, I’m excited to see how this unfolds, and I’ll be keeping a close eye on what happens next.

In the meantime, if you’re considering the current iPad Mini or want to know more about its features, feel free to check out some of my previous videos or comment below with any questions you have. And don’t forget to subscribe for future updates on all things Apple, including a deeper dive into why I think the iPad Mini is still one of the best iPads out there.
Let’s talk about why the iPad Mini remains such a compelling device, despite the uncertainty around its future. For starters, it occupies a unique space in Apple’s lineup. It’s not competing with the MacBook for productivity, nor does it try to be a massive entertainment tablet like the larger iPads. Instead, the Mini excels at being a highly portable, versatile device that’s perfect for users who want something lightweight but still powerful enough to handle tasks on the go.

Its size is what makes it stand out. It’s literally the perfect travel companion—small enough to toss into a bag without weighing you down but still offering a large enough screen to comfortably watch videos, read articles, or browse the web. For frequent travelers, students, or even professionals who need a quick way to jot down notes or sketch ideas, the iPad Mini is a dream. It’s the digital notepad you didn’t know you needed, with all the perks of a fully functional iPad.
The potential that a refreshed iPad Mini holds is massive. Imagine a device with a modern OLED screen, smaller bezels, ProMotion for smooth scrolling, and Face ID for easy unlocking. These additions would turn an already loved product into an even more desirable one. And while we’re at it, adding some level of waterproofing could make it the ultimate all-weather companion for reading by the pool or even using in more rugged outdoor environments.

The key, however, is pricing. Apple has a tendency to push the price boundaries with new features, but the iPad Mini’s appeal partly lies in its relative affordability. If they can strike the right balance between adding high-end features and keeping the price within a reasonable range, the Mini could regain its place as a fan favorite.
But there’s also the risk that Apple may continue the trend of minor updates, which, as we’ve seen, can leave fans underwhelmed. Sure, bumping up specs like RAM, storage, and WiFi speed is nice, but these updates are expected. What users really want is a meaningful overhaul that makes the Mini feel fresh and exciting again. And that’s where Apple needs to deliver—because if they don’t, people might just move on to other devices or larger iPads that offer more bang for their buck.

It’s also interesting to consider how the iPad Mini compares to other devices in Apple’s lineup. As more and more iPads start looking like laptop replacements, the Mini remains the iPad that doesn’t try to do too much. It’s not pretending to be a MacBook alternative, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s for people who want the convenience of an iPad but in a more compact, no-fuss format.
Still, the Mini’s fate seems to hang in the balance. With sales reportedly low and the growing popularity of other iPads and MacBooks, Apple may well decide that the Mini doesn’t have enough of a market to justify further investment. But before we jump to conclusions, it’s worth remembering that Apple has a history of surprising us. They’ve brought back beloved features before, like the MagSafe charger, and given products a second wind after a period of neglect.

So what can we expect from the next generation of the iPad Mini? Will Apple finally deliver the features we’ve been asking for, or will we get another incremental update that leaves us wanting more? Only time will tell. What’s certain is that the iPad Mini holds a unique place in Apple’s ecosystem, and for those of us who love its balance of portability and performance, we’re holding out hope for something great.
For now, all we can do is wait and see what Apple has in store. But while we wait, let’s keep the conversation going—what would make you excited about the iPad Mini again? What features do you think are essential for its next iteration? Drop your thoughts in the comments below, and let’s keep the discussion alive. After all, the iPad Mini deserves to be more than just another forgotten product in Apple’s long history of innovations.

Until we know more, let’s appreciate what we’ve got—the iPad Mini might not be perfect, but it’s still one of the most versatile devices out there, and for many, it’s exactly what an iPad should be. Here’s hoping Apple recognizes that too.
